Shops you own

If you own a shop

A shop is closed with your account only when you are its primary owner and its only member. Its subscription is set to cancel at the end of the current billing period, so it does not renew.

If other people are members of a shop you are the primary owner of, the deletion stops until you transfer ownership on the web in Settings, then General.

A closed shop can be restored by support for 30 days. After that it and all of its records are permanently deleted.

Before you delete, export anything your shop must keep, such as invoices and payroll, because it is permanently deleted after 30 days.

Your data

What is deleted right away

  • Sign-in. You are logged out everywhere and cannot log in again.
  • Your password reset and email verification links.
  • Your team memberships in shops other people use.
  • Your crew assignments and chat participation.

Your data

What is erased after 30 days

  • Your name, email address, and password.
  • Your Google sign-in link.
  • Your notifications and notification settings.
  • Pending invitations sent to your email address.
  • Your saved signature.
  • Every shop you owned alone, with all of its records.

Until then, email [email protected] if you want your account restored.

Your data

What a shop keeps

  • Business records you worked on, such as work orders, estimates, invoices, and payments, stay with the shop that owns them. Once your account is erased, they show your name as "Deleted user".
  • If a shop has pay records for you, your team membership row stays with that shop so its payroll history is kept. You cannot log in again.
  • SMS consent and opt-out records for a closed shop's customers are kept for 5 years, as the phone number, dates and how consent was given, to prove consent.
  • Our billing records stay with our payment processor, Stripe.
  • Backups roll off on our backup schedule.
